An Update!

Things have been kinda slow lately. So here's a mass update of pictures recently taken of the bunnies!

None of Pebbles though. I was about to start taking photos of him (we now discovered that 'she' was actually a 'he'), the camera battery went flat! So we'll leave that for another day :)

Dusty (2002 - 2009)

Heaven's gates opened today,
And a few special names were called.

Dusty,

You are the reason Mummy fell so deeply in love with rabbits.
You are the one who showed me how love could transcend all kinds.
You were there for Daddy when he needed a companion the most.
You are and always will be the 大哥 of all our babies.

Bless your siblings wherever you are.
Do go look for Honey and the rest, let them accompany you from now on.

It's Boxing Day!

A great time for opening presents and boxing anyone who gave an empty box! Haha. Just kidding :P

New cages for Nuggets and Rocky arrived today!



And it's great (and just in time) cos we've been looking around/waiting for new stock to arrive. It just so happens that when we were out yesterday, we saw the cages and we couldn't say no!

These 2 new cages are similar to Tuffee's, from the colour to the accessories. The only difference? There are handles on the cages. Haha. Not like it really matters, right?

Tomorrow, they will move into their new homes. I'm sure they'll enjoy it much more than their current place!

And last but not least, before the new year comes about...

More Tuffee

Last night, a newly purchased giant cage was delivered to our house. This new cage was bought with both Pebbles and Tuffee in mind. It's even bigger than the normal size dog cages! We're hoping that they'll have more space to run about and still live together :)

Temporary though, Pebbles and Tuffee have been separated. Nuggets had caught a mite infection (possibly from the home he was in previously in as the vet suspects). And Pebbles had help Nuggets settle in when he first came, remember? And as a precautionary measure, we decided to separate all the bunnies. So now, Tuffee is the smallest bunny living in the biggest cage! Hehe. It's a pretty cute sight! We have all definitely grown attached to Tuffee :)

Say 'Hello' Everyone!

Meet Tuffee! She's our latest family member :)
Pronouced Tuff-Fee

You could also say that Tuffee was a pleasant surprise after searching so long for a sister to keep Pebbles company!

We weren't expecting to get another netherland dwarf so soon, and Tuffee just came to our attention! Just like that! If it has to be anything, it is our fate to meet Tuffee and her destiny to be part of our family :)

It's cute to see them being relaxed and falling asleep at times. They just look so absolutely beyond cute! :D

Oh. While Pebbles and Rocky were lazing around, Nuggets seem to be quite active!











Oh yes, Nuggets seem to have this V-line growing on his forehead. Doesn't he kinda look like Bambi's friend, Thumper?

New Addition

We have a new addition to Bunny Playhouse!

Meet Nuggets!


Nuggets is a male netherland dwarf, in orange!

Nuggets was brought home today and he's still settling into his new place. It would take a while for him to get used to his new home as we couldn't bring his sister along. But not to worry! Pebbles has helped settle him in! :)

Separation

Pebbles and Rocky have been separated. This is actually to the benefit of Pebbles. She appears to be bullied by Rocky!

Here are some of the things we noticed before deciding to put them in different cages:

1. Pebbles not eating well
2. Pebbles becoming less active
3. Pebbles appears to have a limping leg (a check shows that she's perfectly fine)
4. Rocky always running and bumping into Pebbles
5. Rocky climbing on Pebbles (no, he's not lusty)
6. Rocky nibbling on Pebbles (she was obviously agitated)

So, based on these, we thought for the better they ought to be separated. Strangely, the minute Pebbles realised Rocky was placed in a different cage after their evening exercise on Tuesday, she seemed perkier and begin to be more active! And yes, she has been eating a lot since. Whereas for Rocky, he seemed pretty upset that he was no longer in the same cage as Pebbles!

All we can say is, as long as Rocky doesn't learn how to behave with others, he will be separated!

Slight Scare

Pebbles haven't been eating. We suspect it has something to with the food we bought being not fresh. Weirdly though, Rocky has put on weight! Just to be on the safe side though, we threw out the entire packet of food and got a new packet. FRESH! She's eating well now and has gained a little more weight, although not as heavy as Rocky!

After being with them for a little over a week, we have discovered that the two of them are very different!

Rocky is very active and hyper, he's a little camera shy though. It's funny, but he's not as adventurous as Pebbles!

Pebbles is a lot more calm and affectionate. She loves jumping and exploring new outlets and is also very fond of the camera!

Rocky and Pebbles, Day 2

Rocky and Pebbles have more or less adjusted themselves into their new homes. They have been eating and drinking well. Oh, the definite way to tell that they have made this place their home? They have digested and produced waste :)
