We have a new addition to Bunny Playhouse!

Meet Nuggets!


Nuggets is a male netherland dwarf, in orange!

Nuggets was brought home today and he's still settling into his new place. It would take a while for him to get used to his new home as we couldn't bring his sister along. But not to worry! Pebbles has helped settle him in! :)

Separation

Pebbles and Rocky have been separated. This is actually to the benefit of Pebbles. She appears to be bullied by Rocky!

Here are some of the things we noticed before deciding to put them in different cages:

1. Pebbles not eating well
2. Pebbles becoming less active
3. Pebbles appears to have a limping leg (a check shows that she's perfectly fine)
4. Rocky always running and bumping into Pebbles
5. Rocky climbing on Pebbles (no, he's not lusty)
6. Rocky nibbling on Pebbles (she was obviously agitated)

So, based on these, we thought for the better they ought to be separated. Strangely, the minute Pebbles realised Rocky was placed in a different cage after their evening exercise on Tuesday, she seemed perkier and begin to be more active! And yes, she has been eating a lot since. Whereas for Rocky, he seemed pretty upset that he was no longer in the same cage as Pebbles!

All we can say is, as long as Rocky doesn't learn how to behave with others, he will be separated!

Slight Scare

Pebbles haven't been eating. We suspect it has something to with the food we bought being not fresh. Weirdly though, Rocky has put on weight! Just to be on the safe side though, we threw out the entire packet of food and got a new packet. FRESH! She's eating well now and has gained a little more weight, although not as heavy as Rocky!

After being with them for a little over a week, we have discovered that the two of them are very different!

Rocky is very active and hyper, he's a little camera shy though. It's funny, but he's not as adventurous as Pebbles!

Pebbles is a lot more calm and affectionate. She loves jumping and exploring new outlets and is also very fond of the camera!

Rocky and Pebbles, Day 2

Rocky and Pebbles have more or less adjusted themselves into their new homes. They have been eating and drinking well. Oh, the definite way to tell that they have made this place their home? They have digested and produced waste :)
